In desperate need of Rick and Morty season 4 Wubba lubba dub dub friends! With fans eagerly waiting for season 4, the question is this: when is it coming back?
Adult Swim confirmed back in May 2018 that a mammoth 70 more episodes of Rick and Morty have been commissioned. There have only been 31 episodes of the show so far, meaning that Rick and Morty could be on the air for a very, very long time to come – although it’s still not known yet how many episodes season four will have. Season 4 left us with questions: What are the intentions of evil Morty? Is there actually a Clone Beth? So, there’s every chance that season four could be used to tie up those – and many, many more – loose threads.
There was a small clue about the content of season 4 in the Season 3 finale: Beth made a meta-comment about the family being reunited, saying that it would now be like season one “but more streamlined.” With Jerry and Beth’s divorce seemingly being called off, we could see more antics from the entire Smith family in Season 4. “This seems like a good time for a drink, and a cold calculated speech with sinister overtones. A speech about politics, about order, brotherhood, power. But speeches are for campaigning. Now is the time for action.”—Evil Morty
In “Tales from the Citadel,” Evil Morty returns as the main antagonist of the episode, winning the democratic election held by the rebuilt Citadel of Ricks, and becomes President, keeping his true identity and history hidden. After being elected, he proceeds to murder every Rick in the shadow council who voiced their opposition to him, becoming the effective dictator of the Citadel. Due to his actions, he will serve as a major and possibly main antagonist of the series.
See you for Season Four in like a really long time #RickandMorty

His election victory and purge of the Rick elite aboard the Citadel in Season 3 followed a similar pattern: his plans don’t seem to have anything to do with the main characters of Rick and Morty. The last we heard, Rick and Morty were more interested in “mermaid puss” than revisiting the Citadel, so it remains a mystery how their paths will intersect with Evil Morty in Season 4.
