Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street starring the Oscar-winning actor Leonardo Di Caprio is still considered an iconic movie in term of an R rated movie after all this time. Written by Terence Winter, the movie was originally based on the memoir of the same name by Jordan Belfort. The film received mostly positive reviews from critics, with praise for Scorsese’s direction, the comedic performance of DiCaprio and the fast-paced and consistent humor. Here are some of the best scenes from the iconic movie:
#1 Aerotyne International
On his very first day and the very first call, Jordan(Caprio) influences a person to invest a massive four thousand dollars on a company that has nothing to do with the terms he mentions on the calls.
“Name of the company: Aerotyne International
It’s a cutting edge high-tech firm out of the Midwest awaiting imminent pattern approval on the next generation of radar detect that has both huge military and civilian applications.
Right now, stock trades over the counter are 10 cents a share and by the way, our analyst indicated it could go heck of a higher than that. Your profit on a mere 6 thousand dollars investment will be upward of 60 thousand dollars.”
Jordan makes the man invest a massive four thousand dollars on this company:
#2 The Chest Thumping Scene
Believe it or not, the most popular chest thumping scene of the movie was never scripted on the papers. The actor Matthew McConaughey, used to thump his chest before the scenes so that he could relax. He got pretty nervous since he was working with Leonardo Di Caprio & Martin Scorsese and would do that to calm his nerves. DiCaprio noticed this, and then came up with the idea to include that in the scene, and it became one of the most popular scenes of all time.
#3 The Over Drugged Scene
This scene might not be considered as the best in the film but it was surely something the audience enjoyed to watch. Caprio’s acting in the scene made the scene brutally comedic and as a viewer, I would definitely appreciate his performance in that particular scene. Caprio falling down from the stairs and crawling towards his Lamborghini more of seemed like he was crawling towards an Oscar.
