Ever since the trailer of Todd Phillip’s Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix came out, fans and the critics have been labeling it as a game changer. While DC has been lagging behind in its extended universe was with MCU(Marvel), it is no surprise that the DC fans have been completely relying on Joker, to turn the tables for DC.
DC’s dark thriller JOKER is around the corners and is scheduled to be released on 4th October 2019.
Who’s In The Cast?
Joaquin Phoenix will now incarnate the iconic character of Joker on his own and will be portraying Joker in the upcoming Joker standalone flick.
The movie also features Zazie Beets, who will play a cynical single mother called Sophie Dumond, and Robert De Niro as a talk show host. Marc Maron, Brian Tyree Henry, Bill Camp, and Shea Whigham will also feature as the recurring characters alongside the main cast.

Based on DC’s iconic villain character Joker, the film will be revolving around a miserably failed stand-up comedian Arthur Fleck aka Joker and his emergence as Gotham City’s most virulent psychopathic criminal. The film has been already stated as one of the darkest and experimental movie from the DC universe as the film is the backstory of the psychopathic criminal The Joker.
After the release of Suicide Squad which made a whopping $746 million in the worldwide box office, it was rumored that Warner Bros. has been planning for a standalone Joker film which will not have any connections with the other DCEU characters.
Directed by Todd Phillips and set in the 1980s, the movie stars Joaquin Phoenix as the clown prince of crime. Reportedly, Phoenix will be the 6th actor to play the role of this iconic DC villain after Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight) and Jared Lato (Suicide Squad) who are 4th and 5th in the list respectively.
