Shawn Peter Raul Mendes is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and model. He gained a following in 2013, posting song covers on the video-sharing application Vine. The following year, he caught the attention of artist manager Andrew Gertler and Island Records A&R Ziggy Chareton, which led to him signing a deal with the record label. He has since released three studio albums, headlined three world tours, and received several awards and Nominations.
Mendes has received several nominations and awards. He won 13 Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada awards, 10 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA), eight iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards (MMVA), eight Juno Awards, and other than that three BMI Awards, two American Music Awards, and also the Allan Slaight Honour from Canada’s Walk of Fame. Besides that, he was also nominated for two Grammy Awards.

Recently in an Interview, Shawn was asked a few questions to which he replied very wisely.
The thought of becoming irrelevant freaks him out: Mendes is the first person to admit that he does pay attention to social media and whether or not the press is keeping tabs on him.
He congratulated Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber on their engagement and also told about his daily routine and hit the gym every single day; take two vocal lessons per day, but the third? Always pose for selfies with fans. He also told that Marijuana helps him out, creatively.
He’s upset by people making assumptions about his sexuality: He told that people discuss the sexuality that makes him upset, people should focus on his songs, not on his sexuality.
