Netflix recently released a psychological-thriller drama series called ‘You.’ The show aired on Netflix in December 2018 and immediately received amazing reviews by fans and critics. Netflix picked up the show as an original after it failed to gain momentum after being released by Lifetime.
It has not revealed when the second season will be released. But Penn Badgley revealed in a recent interview that the team has been onto filming and it has been three months. The second season will center around Joe Goldberg, a handsome bookseller, who goes to Los Angeles while obsessing over Love Quinn, who is an aspiring chef.
The show took inspiration from a novel by Caroline Kepnes. During an interview, Penn also stated that the show will not have anything ‘aggressive’ but the swearing will likely increase. The first season was all about stalking Elizabeth Lail who played the role of Beck. The first season ends with (spoiler alert!) Joe killing his girlfriend.
‘You’ season 2 has a new female protagonist who also featured in Haunting of Hill House. Victoria Pedretti will play the role of Love Quinn in the second season. Victoria Pedretti will also feature in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino’s movie ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.’
Joe and Love will base their friendship on the ‘grieving’ factor after losing someone they loved. The second season has in store endless plots for its fans. Joe’s ex-girlfriend, Candace, was reported dead but somehow shows up to his store ALIVE.
In an interview with Elizabeth Lail, she stated that after getting the role, she was extremely happy but after getting to know the fate of her character made her feel stupid.
