Recently it was rumored that Keanu Reeves will be joining the MCU as Adam Warlock but it is said by James Gunn that he wants a young actor. Here’s what Marvel Studio’s President Kevin Feige has to say about Keanu Reeves joining the MCU. So, let’s break it down.
Kevin Feige said, “We talk to him for every film we make, I don’t know, when, if or, ever will he join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.” So basically it was earlier rumored that he will play Adam Warlock who is one of the strongest characters in the MCU. Keanu Reeves can also play this role as we are so used to seeing him in the John Wick series, the boogeyman who cannot die no matter what. So, it would be no surprise for us to see him in this form. But Marvel does not want this. Apparently, James Gunn said in an interview that Mathew McConaughey is too old to play Adam Warlock and he is just 49 years old. Keanu Reeves, on the other hand, is 54 years old. So, certainly, Marvel won’t give this role to Keanu Reeves.
So, it is surely confirmed that Keanu Reeves will not be playing Adam Warlock. But, it is also said by Kevin Feige himself that we really want Keanu in the MCU. We are just finding out the right character for him. So, there might be a chance that he would play a role in the Eternals movie as it is set in the past. Write down in the comments below, what you wish Keanu Reeves would play in the MCU.
