Annabelle Comes Home is the third edition in the Annabelle series and the seventh movie in The Conjuring Universe. The Conjuring first came out in 2013 forever changing the meaning of spook for us and bestowing to us a wonderful scary gift. The universe revolves around paranormal investigators, The Warrens, and their haunted doll, Annabelle.
This new edition into the spook-verse walks the line between reality and fiction. This movie is placed after the events of The Conjuring which in turn is placed after the events of Annabelle: Creation and Annabelle.
It starts off when Lorraine and Ed have picked up the doll and now sealed it shut in their room of possessed items.
The Warrens will be out of the entire scene because they’ll leave their kid with a babysitter who has an idiotic curious friend. You can tell where this is going. The most interesting character will be Daniela, the babysitter’s friend, that’ll let loose the horrific events of the Warren household.
Daniela allegedly has guilt that she was responsible for her father’s death. Something along the lines of this reason will make her go into the forbidden room and “accidentally” let Annabelle lose. The doll will then proceed to scare the living Jesus out of them.
Gary Dauberman is handling this movie who also directed “It”, “Annabelle” and “The Nun”. The Conjuring films set off a new template of horror movies without the usual jump scares; replaced it with rather ominous music and creepy graphics.
You’re in for a disturbing and unsettling ride with Annabelle Comes Home!
