13 Reasons Why has not been an easy show to take, it has had many deeper impacts on every fans life. The first season of the show talks about the life of Hannah Baker and how she goes through a lot of issues in her life and is unable to talk to people openly about them.
The season ends with showing its viewers a very disturbing scene where Hannah slits her wrists and bleeds to death. It was extremely graphic and it showed exactly how things turned out, while she took her life. Well, the makers of the show, definitely wanted to show reality and that is the exact reason why they thought this scene is important for the viewers.
Showrunner Bran Yorker told everyone that he thought it was his responsibility to show the truth and be honest with the audience so they made the scene so bold and sometimes bold is hard.
He also said that this scene took over a lot of debate and they didn’t want to show the pretty version of suicide but they wanted to keep it raw and bold which is what they did but almost after 2 years of the first season coming out Netflix finally decided to alter the scene because it isn’t what they want to promote and now the scene has been made from the moment she enters the tub to the moment her parents find her body the pain, the suffering in the scene has bee cut due to audience sensitivity.
