A 13-year-old child, Heydi Garcia who is a Honduras immigrant, tried to kill herself in New York while she had separated from her father. She will be laid to rest on coming Monday in the evening in Bayside in New York as reported by her family members.
Heidi Gracia’s father, Manuel Gámez, had sent her always from home due to the violent environment in their hometown in Honduras to the United States. He had not seen her for the past four years since the day she had sent to the United States. Heidi Gracia was later on sent to an asylum in the US similarly the way her aunt aka her father’s sister, Zoila, who is 21 years old, was sent to the shelter. However, Manuel Gámez was continuously rebuffed on repeated terms by the immigration authorities.
Gámez had met her daughter last week. However, they had never imagined the reunion to be of that sort. He clutched the hands of his only daughter and cried profusely throughout as Heydi laid motionless with a breathing tube in a hospital bed in Queens in New York.
The immigration officials released Manuel Gámez from a Houston detention centre last weeks after 14-day humanitarian parole. All this release happened on the prior order of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Head. Manuel will return to Texas on 27th of July to face the deportation.
Heidi’s aunt, Jessica Gámez, told that the girl had quickly adjusted to her lifestyle in the United States. She longed to meet her father and regularly talked with him, but somehow, circumstances had let her do such an awful tragedy.
