Jason Momoa said he couldn’t start shooting Aquaman….. because he “got run over by a bulldozer” amidst protesting the construction of the giant telescope.
Sorry, Warner Bros we can’t shoot ‘Aquaman 2,’” he wrote in an Instagram post. “Because Jason got run over by a bulldozer trying to stop the desecration of his native land THIS iS NOT HAPPENING. WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU DO THIS ANYMORE. Enough is enough. Go somewhere else.”
In another post, he all asked support from his fans, which reads,
“During this time, we are trying to unite both kānaka and Hawai born peoples alike to protect not only the Mauna but also our way of life and greatest natural resources in Hawaii as a whole.”
Momoa is busy from a long time protesting at the highest point on the state of Hawaii, Mauna Kea, in order to suspend development of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT), a $1.4 billion scientific plan approved by a group of universities in California and Canada as well as associates in China, India and Japan.
“I’ve been following this for years now — more so as everything has been amping up more recently — but when you come here to Mauna Kea you realize it more significant than a telescope,” Johnson said.
Jason Momoa starrer Aquaman was one of the very first DC movies which ended DC’s long-running failure reign. The first installment of the standalone Aquaman was highly acclaimed and was able to live up to the expectations of the fans. Aquaman also starred Amber Heard alongside Momoa. Fans are now desperately looking forward to the second part for getting addressed with the underwater universe once again.
