Netflix has confirmed that a third film of ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ will be shot, the second part is not yet released.
The streaming giants confirmed the news of ‘To All, The Boys: Always & Forever, Lara Jean’ and said at the same time, the second part, To All The Boys: PS I Love You ‘will be released on February 12, 2020.
The films have based on the novels of Jenny Han. However, the first film did not wholly follow the plot of the book, as the fans did not see at the end, whether Lara Jean ( Lana Condor ) and Peter ( Noah Centineo ) come together in the end. Therefore, it is unclear how close the next films will be based on the books.
The director of the first film was Susan Johnson. In the successor, she now takes the role of executive producer, while Michael Fimognari takes the wheel. Johnson has already stated in a statement, “Being the director of ‘ To All The Boys’ I’ve Loved Before ‘ was one of the most exceptional experiences of my life, and I’m so grateful to the fans for their passionate support.
Unfortunately, due to other projects, I am not able to direct the sequel, but will be part of the franchise as production manager for Lara Jean’s story.”
To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You will be directed by Michael Fimognari, cinematographer of the first installment and the anticipated Doctor Sleep. His debut opera is co-produced by AwesomenessTV, Ace Entertainment, Overbrook Entertainment, and Paramount Pictures.
