Bernard Betts-King first informed the police that the victims came to him
A 60-year-old person in Virginia has pleaded guilty to the rapes of two females with mental disabilities and caused both victims to be pregnant.
Historical accounts say that Bernard Betts-King appeared Tuesday in the courtroom of Virginia to enter the convictions.
Betts-King, according to reports in Washington, D.C., was detained previously this year.
NBC News, quoting freshly filed court papers, claims that the first supposed victim’s family found in 2017 that she was five months pregnant and submitted a police report.
The women, an MLVE Community Center customer in Springfield, Virginia, were intellectually handicapped, according to the NBC News report. In February 2018, she gave birth.
When challenged by the police, she could not recognize the guy who raped her favorably.
Then another disabled female was born at the MLVE Community Center in November 2018. The Washington Post reported that the second victim identified her rapist, and subsequent DNA tests confirmed that he was the father of both kids.
Betts-King reportedly said, according to the Post, that the females “went over” to him. It had nevertheless determined that neither girl had taught sex.
Betts-King worked as a cognitive technician at MLVE, offering disabled people therapeutic and job possibilities.
On Tuesday, it was not clear when Betts-King would be convicted and what the sentence could be.
Sources could not reach his lawyer for comment.
Authorities suspect that Betts-King may have had extra victims, and ask the perpetrators to arrive.
