The final of the first season of You was able to surprise the fans. The new Penn Badgley series, available on Netflix, will return for a second season. Will all the answers concerning Beck or Candace be revealed in these next episodes?
For the moment, no official date has been announced yet. The first season was first launched on September 9, 2018, in the United States on Lifetime and broadcast at the rate of one episode per week, then internationally on Netflix in its entirety from December 26. However, there is a good chance that the second season will be available during the second half of 2019.
Robin Lord Taylor, who plays Oswald Cobblepot, aka Penguin, a power-hungry villain in the Gotham series, has just landed a new role in You. Information about his role in the series has not been revealed yet, and we hope to get an update on his character soon.
Created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, the first season of You is an adaptation of the eponymous novel (Perfect, in French) by Caroline Kepnes. If the series followed the frame of the book, there is a difference in size.
Indeed, the character of Paco (Luca Padova), the young and vulnerable neighbor of Joe Goldberg and the critical characteristics of the fiction, did not exist in the book.
The only thing we can be sure about is the return of Penn Badgley’s the disturbing and obsessive Joe Goldberg. At this point, it’s unclear which characters might be returning, given a large number of bodies Joe left behind.
Also, our hero likely meets new characters, but we can still confirm that Ambyr Childers, Joe’s ex, will slip into the skin of Candace since she appeared alive in the finale of season 1 and was promoted regularly for season 2.
