Return to Liberty High School! 13 Reasons Why is the controversial Netflix drama getting a third season. The show revolves around the aftermath of a high school student, the suicide of Hannah Baker, revealing the secrets and events that led to her death, based on Jay Asher’s novel of the same name. Meanwhile, as they come to terms with the tragedy, the show follows the lives of their parents and classmates. Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why was first performed on March 31, 2017.
The first season focused on the recordings left behind by Hannah, revealing the 13 occurrences that caused Hannah to take her life. Hannah’s parents followed the second season through a civil lawsuit against her high school. Both seasons for their graphic depiction of sexual violence and suicide were commended and criticized by audiences and critics. So, what can Season 3 fans expect? Is this season going to be as contentious as the last two? Which cast members are going to return?
Season 3’s final trailer of 13 Reasons Why revealed that all the original cast members will return to their roles. Actor Dylan Minnette, who plays Clay Jensen, announced on Twitter that “these last few season 3 scripts are the best of the show.”
Katherine Langford, who plays Hannah Baker, is the only face we might not see again. “We told Hannah’s tale for me so completely in the first season. And in a manner, doing that scene in episode 13, I referred to it so often as it was the toughest scene because it was the scene I had to let go of,” Langford said in an interview.
