Acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino will become a father at the age of 56 for the first time. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’s director is expecting his wife Daniella to have their first child. The creator of Pulp Fiction said in a statement: “Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby.”
Daniella is the daughter of Israeli singer and songwriter Tzvika Pick, and Quentin met her in 2009 as he promoted his film Inglorious Basterds. After dating for about a year, they got involved in June 2017 and then tied the knot on November 2018. It was the first time Tarantino had committed in this manner to a partnership, as he had always claimed to be’ too busy with job.’
A few days after Quentin had wrapped up Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, the intimate ceremony in Los Angeles took place. The wedding saw Daniella, along with a tiara, wearing a white dress and a veil, while Quentin plumped into a black suit.
Their September 2017 engagement party became a reunion for Pulp Fiction’s cast like Bruce Willis, Samuel L Jackson and Uma Thurman helped celebrate the pair. Quentin has celebrated the best opening performance of any of his movies since the wedding.
According to the reports, it has proven to be a smash hit in the United States, taking $40 million (£ 32.9 million) in its first weekend, with its $16.8 million (£ 13.85 million) being the highest opening day for a Tarantino film. The film stars Leonardo Di Caprio, Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt, set in Los Angeles in the 1960s.
