The exploitative thriller The Hunt was canceled due to various tweets that came up once the trailer was released. The movie talks majorly about the elite group who want to hurt people for their own pleasure. This movie is very disturbing and raised up a lot of objections and questions not only by the fans but by the government as well.
The fire straight away came from President Trump in his tweet he said that the liberal Hollywood filmmakers are trying to “to inflame and cause chaos. They create their own violence, and then try to blame others.” and a consequence of these tweets from the president was that in less than 24 hours the movie was pulled out from the release schedule.
Well, we wouldn’t disagree with what the president is trying to put forward movies do affect a larger group of society and movie that promote violence like this may cause chaos in the societies well being.
The director of the movie, however, has a different stand on this whole issue. Zobel in an email said that “If I believed this film could incite violence, I wouldn’t have made it.” according to him the movie was supposed to be a satire for both sides the rich who want to kill for fun and the poor who agree on being hunt for money, and the movies motive was not to divide the society or promote any kind of violence.
We hope the movie sees the day of light but its highly doubtful as the president is himself involved and against it.
