The initial Harry Potter films conclude with The Deathly Hallows–Part 2 eight years earlier, but thanks to the Fantastic Beasts prequels, the Wizarding World franchise remains from creator J.K. Rowling itself. It is surely inevitable, then, that the Boy Who Lived’s adventures will be rebooted in a few brief years, right?
Well, either that or a direct follow-up. Yes, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have worked for a time now and were highly applauded by critics and fans. So much so, that Warner Bros. whispers were watching it for a movie adaptation.
Earlier today, it was revealed that the studio is actually getting prepared to develop such a project, and now Rowling herself has added fuel to the fire by teasing a large Cursed Child ad on Twitter.
Whereas we can’t say for sure yet, speculation is widespread throughout the internet, which Warner Bros. is about to officially disclose a Cursed Child film. However, even if they’re not, it’s clear that Potter fans will have something big, and we can’t wait to see what it is.
If it proves to be a film, it is also anticipated that the initial star trio will return. It would have been Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. After all, Radcliffe said before that he would ‘think’ about a Cursed Child film, but he stressed that it would rely on the screenplay.
In any event, if what we have heard from multiple insiders of the sector is any indication, something important really will be found in the globe of Harry Potter, whether it be Cursed Child adjustment or something else.
