Todd Chrisley and Kyle Chrisley(his son), are clearing up about the truth behind the 27-year-old’s recent hospitalization.
On Thursday’s episode of the Chrisley Confessions podcast, Todd and his formerly-estranged son opened up about Kyle’s hospitalization last week revealing that a suicide attempt was what landed him in the hospital.
In the episode, Kylie revealed this, “I take medication, and I had a bad side effect to it, and I tried to take my own life. With the meds, I got all kinds of crazy thinking going on.”
Then, Todd continued to say that the medicine Kyle had been taking was associated with having “suicidal tendencies” as a side effect, and he told that Kyle is “now off of that.”
Kyle’s hospitalization was announced in a photo which Todd shared to Instagram on Aug. 28, showing his happy son encircled by family while in his hospital bed. The entire Chrisley family was there, with the exception of Todd and Julie’s daughter, Lindsie.
Todd captioned the photo, “NOT TODAY SATAN, NOT TODAY… God shows up and shows out, now won’t he do it? Kyle is great, and we are back to the grind.”
The Chrisley family has been creating plenty of headlines this month due to the ongoing tax fraud investigation Todd and Julie are suffering, in which they entered a plea of not guilty on Aug. 14, along with their dispute with Lindsie and her allegations of extortion.
However, Todd, who earlier said during another episode of his podcast that Lindsie was “forgiven” for her allegations, which he staunchly denies, once again addressed the rift during this week’s episode.
Todd shared, “My door is always open to my daughter, Lindsie. I love her always, and I will die loving her. But right now, I have four of my children, and I am grateful for that. And the door is open for the fifth at all times.”
