DeAndre James, 42, is accused of prostituting a teenage girl with whom he himself had physical contact. James was found guilty of 19 counts which include 14 counts of child prostitution. DeAndre James was found guilty in August on 19 counts, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office said Friday.
The charges include 14 counts of child prostitution, two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count each of child trafficking, custodial interference and involving minors in a narcotic offense.
James was found guilty of forcing a 15-year-old girl to work as a prostitute for him between March and September 2015.
He was also accused of having physical contact with a child and pressurize the child to give him half of the money she made by having g physical contact with the man he plans for her to meet.
The child was found during a site visit and was later sent back to Phoenix. However, James succeeded in convincing the girl to work again for him. This time, she joined a 17-year-old girl whom James was also trying to recruit as a prostitute.
When James was taken into custody he admitted having physical contact with the girl and told that he never knew the girl was a minor and thought that she is above 18, but, he also denied the claims of forcing her to take part in prostitution.
The man has been finally sentenced to 324 years in prison after he was found guilty in the complete lawsuit.
