Unbelievable series is now available to stream and download on Netflix now. Unbelievable has eight-part mini-series is based on real-life events depicted in An Unbelievable Story, written by Kem Armstrong and T. Christian Miller. The series stars Toni Collette, Kaitlyn Dever and Merritt Wever amongst several others. The series dropped on streaming giant Netflix yesterday, and fans are curious to know if there’s any sequel for the series.

Unfortunately, there is bad news, That may seem, well, unbelievable, but it’s the truth. A Netflix rep told sources, “It’s a limited series and based on the true story, so, we won’t be having another season.”
Unbelievable is based on the true story of what occurred to an 18-year-old American woman in 2008.
The series source material is taken from the 2015 Pulitzer Prize-winning article ‘An Unbelievable Story,’ written by Ken Armstrong, T Christian Miller and the This American Life radio episode titled Anatomy of Doubt.
In the series Unbelievable, the victim is given the name Marie, played by Kaitlyn Dever, 22. Marie reported the abuse to the police instead of filing case, she was accused of false reporting and faced a year’s prison sentence if she did not take a plea deal.
Meanwhile, for about two years, Marie’s criminal was able to roam free, carrying out more attacks on women over the United States.
He was ultimately caught in 2011 after two Colorado female detectives noticed similarities in other abuse cases.
As all of the source material has been done, and the first series came to a definite end, the chances of Unbelievable will not return for a second season.
