Recently, Banjarbaru Police convicted two men who are suspected of physically abusing a minor, who is the daughter of one of the suspects.
According to the police, the victim’s father, a 50-year-old man who is recognized by his initial S, started raping her since 2017, when she was 16. At the time, S had just divorced his wife and the victim chose to stay with him.
One day, S discovered that the victim was no longer a maiden after she alleged that she was raped by her uncle. Instead of reporting the uncle to authorities, S threatened his daughter by telling that he would tell her mother’s family about the alleged rape — which the victim was greatly ashamed about — and then repeatedly raped her himself.
Not long after, the victim became pregnant, with S suspected of being the father.
Banjarbaru Police Chief Aryansyah told Kompas today, “upon learning that the victim was pregnant, S told her to find a boyfriend so someone will take responsibility for the child she was bearing.”
However, the victim hadn’t found a boyfriend two months into the pregnancy, which led to S setting up his daughter with his friend, a 57-year-old man identified by his initial M.
“S then asked the victim to ‘serve’ M, who is his friend, so S can demand responsibility from M for impregnating his daughter,” Aryasyah said.
M fell for S’ trap and slept with the victim on at least two occasions.
However, soon after, the victim had a miscarriage. S then wanted to continue getting physical with his daughter, but she declined and ran away from the house as she could no longer take living under the same roof as her father.
Authorities were soon informed about the alleged multiple rapes and arrested both S and M. Both were charged with violating the Child Protection Law and could face up to 15 years in prison each.
