A Seven-year-old boy was discharged from the hospital Thursday after withstanding a blaze at his home on the city’s west side Tuesday evening. Prosecutors have ruled that the apartment fire was deliberately set, and a suspect is now in confinement.
The blaze transpired on Brace Street near the intersection of Southfield Freeway and West Chicago at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Markell Joyner remained hospitalized and operated for smoke inhalation. His 2-year-old sister, Mylah and his mother, 31-year-old Star Milligan, perished in the blaze.
The inhabitants of the apartment were relocated due to the fire. A Funding page was set up to support with funeral costs.
