Apple has been rumored to be working on a new pair of noise-canceling AirPods. sources report that they would appear in 2019, and then later changed their estimation to 2020 this year.
Now Sources report that Apple’s noise-canceling AirPods could appear as the “AirPods Pro” following this month.
The AirPods Pro are said to introduce a new metal form to support noise cancelation and may be valued as high as $250 or more. Previous rumors have also claimed these new AirPods will incorporate water resistance for gym use.
Reports of AirPods Pro appearing in late October come just days after a fresh AirPods design was found in an iOS 13.2 beta. Sources that suggests Apple could be about to launch AirPods that look very related to its old in-ear headphones. The site also found a new animation in iOS 13.2 that explains iPhone users how to adjust noise cancellation on the new AirPods. Images also appeared on some other source last month that look alike to the animation found in iOS 13.2.
The evidence to new AirPods found in iOS 13.2 makes it far more reasonable we’ll see these new AirPods shortly. There have been reports of a possible Apple event in October, but as we progress the end of the month. If Apple is ready to launch new AirPods Pro, production could hold up wide availability. Apple first launched its AirPods in December 2016, but they were very tough to buy until months later.
If Apple’s AirPods Pro appear in 2019, they’ll go up facing fight from Microsoft, Amazon, and more. Amazon will launch its $130 Echo Buds later this month, loaded with Bose technology for noise reduction. Microsoft will also launch its $250 Surface Earbuds later this year. Google is also proposing to launch its second-generation Pixel Buds next year priced at $180.
