The good streak of Keanu Reeves for being part of successful franchises continues. Not only is John Wick 4 and Matrix 4 ready to start, but now it seems that Keanu is in talks to join Dominic Toretto’s big family in the Fast and Furious franchise.
This information comes from the We Got This Covered. According to his sources, Keanu Reeves met with Chris Morgan, screenwriter of Hobbs & Shaw, where he was offered a role in the car franchise.
The media notes that long before Hobbs & Shaw premiered in theaters there was a rumor that the histrion would appear in the film as the leader of the terrorist group Eton. However, due to agenda problems, the protagonist of Constantine could not take over the character.
It is now known that Hobbs & Shaw’s production still holds a place for Keanu Reeves in the cast in a possible sequel alongside Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
During the promotion of the release of the homemade version of Hobbs & Shaw, Chris Morgan spoke with ScreenRant about his fervent desire to include Keanu Reeves in the sequel.
“I sat with Keanu and we are talking. I wanted him to be in the universe of Fast and Furious for a long time. We’re just trying to find … the most difficult thing is always the competitive time and schedules, and then design the right thing together. My fervent desire is to bring it to this franchise for sure,” Morgan said.
