A breach of contract lawsuit was settled amidst Woody Allen and The Amazon Studios that settled in 68 million dollars, has now ended. This was earlier filed in February after the decision of terminating a four-picture movie deal that existed between the Company and Allen.
When allegations were aroused that his adopted daughter was brutally raped by Allen whose name is Dylan Farrow, arose again during the rise of the #MeToo movement, the studio ended their deal with him.
The director has denied all the claims, dubbing them as fake ones a long time ago. He has also not faced any criminal charges against him from the investigation of what Dylan has said.
Allen and the Amazon Studios filed paperwork in federal court of the New York City to dismiss the legal actions. It was done on Friday.
It is reported that the case was voluntarily dismissed with prejudice. Voluntary dismissal of a case means that it cannot be brought back to the court again as both parties have agreed internally to dismiss the case.
Allen claims in his lawsuit that the company knew about these allegations and owed him a total of 68 million dollars in guaranteed payments.
The studio has now canceled the release of his film that was made in the year 2018 with the title A Rainy Day In New York. The studio has canceled 3 such more movies that were made by him.
Allen has completely denied the sex assault on his own daughter and said that he has never ever molested her.
But Farrow says otherwise. She gas taken the help of media to circulate her rape hoping that by her being on camera, will provide her with help.
When this news came to the knowledge of media, more than 25 years ago, both The Child Sexual Abuse Clinic and of the Yale-New Haven Hospital and New York state child welfare teams investigated the scenario, any traits of sexual assault or molestation came negative in the reports.
