Texas substitute teacher, Olivia Huerta, is arrested for having physical intercourse with a student in her parent’s home.
According to court papers, the 23-year-old Huerta appointed in for a social science teacher at Sam Rayburn High School sometime between January and April of 2018. During her time as a substitute, Huerta purportedly took a 16-year-old student to her parent’s residence and had intercourse with him. This incident was exposed when the student told a mate that he had intercourse with a teacher, which led to his fellow telling school administrators.
During his interview, the student insisted that he and Huerta exchanged phone no.’s and texted as well as Snapchatted each other. He was unable to get her name, but he explained the teacher as a “short, curvy Hispanic lady.” He also picked out Huerta through a photo lineup.
Huerta later confessed to having intercourse with the student. She gave the authorities her phone, which held talks that alluded to their relationship. She now faces second-degree felony charges for an improper relationship with a student and physical assault of a child between the ages of 14 and 16. A bond of $40,000 was fixed for Huerta on Thursday.
Later the allegations hit headings, the Pasadena Independent School District issued a remark to the media in which they state they take physical assault allegations seriously.
“Upon getting the accusation, the administration at Sam Rayburn High School quickly informed district administration and the Pasadena ISD Police Department,” the report shows. “The accused individual was immediately expelled from school and is no longer employed by Pasadena ISD.”
