A husband shot his wife and 3 of their boys to death before turning the gun on himself, cops tell – just a day after a restraining order was set against him.
The disturbing family massacre happened at a house in the Paradise Hills neighborhood of San Diego, California, on Saturday morning.
Among the dead were the 31-year-old gunman, his wife, 29, and 3 of their four sons – aged three, five and nine.
The couple’s fourth boy, 11, was in severe condition in hospital on Saturday afternoon after emergency surgery to heal his gunshot wounds.
A 911 call was made from the house at 6:49 am on Saturday – but no one talked to the dispatcher and arguing could be detected in the background.
Later, a second emergency call was made by a neighboring relative to describe the loud arguing and what seemed to sound like a nail gun being fired.
Cops arrived at the scene and stormed the property after viewing a small child covered in the blood through the window.
6 lifeless bodies were discovered inside the house – which is just a block away from an elementary school.
The 3-year-old boy, a 31-year-old man, and a 29-year-old woman died at the scene of the mass shooting.
The 3 other boys were brought to the hospital, where the 5 and 9-year-old children were declared dead.
Detectives think the male came over this morning, there was some sort of dispute or disagreement and he used a handgun and shot his family before turning the gun upon himself.
The shooting came less than 24 hours after the gunman’s wife got a restraining order against him.
