If you have seen the Black Lightning you will automatically think that its star, Cress Williams must be used to seeing different other superheroes by now as his two daughters on the screen (played by Nafessa Williams and China Anne McClain) suit side by side him every week on a Monday night, but it was new to us fans to know that he is absolutely not used to it. Actor Cress Williams is 49 years in age and was immediately shocked when he entered the set of Arrowverse’s forthcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” series for the very first time.
Williams, in an interview, shared that it is like going to a new school. Cress has taken a break from shooting Black Lightning in Atlanta to spend a week on work for the crossover in Vancouver.
He says that he was just really overwhelmed at the pure number of people and, of course, the costumes of superheroes. He says that he has been working with the Flash, two Supermen, most of the cast of The-Flash, and some Arrow people. He says that it was hectic and a real hodgepodge in a full room.
It will be a 5-hour event this winter which is marked by Black Lightning’s formal debut in the Arrowverse, with Williams who is going to appear in the Flash hour. It will get aired on December 10 at 8 p.m. Next will be the DC’s legend of Tomorrow and will air for one hour on the 14th of January at 9 p.m. The characters of Black Lightning have never interacted with the capes of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends and Batwoman, it is going to air on the CW.
Marc Guggenheim, who is the executive producer of this crossover says that just watching Williams’ character share the screen with these other characters is incredibly exciting for him because this has never been done before.
