4 persons, including a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and the son of a retired jailor, have been detained for supposedly kidnaping a class 10 student and then molesting her at a deserted place. The car in which the girl was taken had a police logo on it.
The inspector of Halia police station, Deviver Shukla, announced that a case against the accused has been filed for the abduction and molesting on Tuesday.
The 15-year-old girl was supposedly assaulted on Monday at a remote place in Halia. The police officer told that one of the arrested persons, Jai Prakash Maurya, is the son of a retired jailor, Brijlal Maurya.
Jai Prakash’s sister had lived in a village in Halia after marriage and he had been attending her house many times in the last few months throughout which he befriended the teenager.
The survivor’s father claimed that Jai Prakash made a call to the girl on her mobile and urged her to step out and meet him at a spot on the outskirts of the village where he was there along with his 3 friends in a car.
Jai Prakash then violently took her to an isolated location, where all 4 allegedly molested her.
The car, in which the girl and all 4 persons were traveling, was stopped by policemen on duty for monitoring while it was on its way to the girl’s village in Halia.
The car belongs to Jai Prakash Mauya and an inquiry is on to determine how he got the police logo printed on it.
As the car stopped, the girl began crying and raised an alarm.
The policemen on duty took the 4 men and the girl to the police station where the girl told her ordeal to her father.
The father then filed a case against all 4 persons – Jai Prakash, Luv Kumar Pal, Ganesh Prasad, and CRPF constable Mahendra Kumar Yadav, who is posted in Sultanpur.
Superintendent of Police, Mirzapur, Dharm Veer, told that the victim and all 4 accused have been sent for a medical test.
