The Florida Highway Patrol department’s officers have identified the driver who was supposedly driving his vehicle in the wrong way was involved in a car crash that tool lives of 4-year-old innocent along with his parents in Alachua County last month.
On Tuesday, The Florida Highway Patrol released the traffic report where the mentioned that 51-year-old Michael Ronald Russell of Ocala, Florida, was driving westbound on the eastbound lanes of State Road 24 near NE 69th Way when he allegedly smashed head-on into a 2007 Toyota Rav4 on Nov. 16 around 11:40 p.m.
According to the information received, Russell’s vehicle suddenly caught on fire following the crash. He died as a result of the crash and was only identified with his dental records.
Jack Hesling, who was 4 year old , along with his parents, Christopher M. Hesling, 30 year old, and Brittany Trowell Hesling, 31 year old, were quickly transported to UF Health where they later died succumbing from their severe injuries.
The only survivor in the accident is 6-month-old Maggie Hesling.
Florida Highway Patrol has said that it is still not clear whether alcohol was the factor with Russell’s driving that ultimately let to this fatal accident.
