The 4 family members murdered in an apparent murder-suicide this weekend have been distinguished, as more aspects have appeared about the unexpected struggle that no one has seen coming.
According to the sources, police believe David Schladetzky, 53-year-old, shot and killed his sons Nelson, 8, and William, 11, before fatally killing their mother, 39-year-old Kjersten Schladetzky at her residence in on Oakland Avenue in Minneapolis. David and Kjersten were both discovered lifeless inside the house, and the boys were killed in the front yard.
The pair had settled their divorce, reportedly started by David, this past summertime and partook custody of the boys.
As per the report, David had come to the house on Sunday morning to pick up his boys for a visit. The boys reportedly went to the front porch to meet him, where David was idling with a gun. The boys then attempted to run off, but he fired at them in the front yard, where the first responder police officers discovered them unresponsive. Both were later declared dead.
After murdering his sons, David went inside the residence where he shot his wife and then turned gun to himself. It is not explicit how long the pair had been lifeless when police ultimately broke into the house, reportedly after endeavoring to adjust entry.
As per court records acquired by sources, David Schladetzky did not have any felonious past and had never been the case of a protective order. It is not yet known how he acquired the gun, but the report remarks that he would probably have been able to obtain one legally.
Authorities have not yet discussed a feasible motive for the murder-suicide. But authorities consider that the totality of divorce may have played a role in the disturbance.
