A seven months old pregnant and three children were among the 5 people taken to a hospital after getting injured in a crash in the west Houston area.
According to the information received from the authorities, the crash is supposed to have happened around 8:30 p.m. in the Hunter’s Creek area where the 17-year-old driver of a Honda Accord diverted onto the southbound lane and hit a Chevrolet Silverado head-on.
One person inside the Honda was soon airlifted to a hospital because of his critical condition, and four other people inside the pickup truck were also transported.
The woman, who is supposedly 30 years old, is seven months pregnant and was airlifted, Gutierrez said. Three other children were also transported through the ambulance called at the scene.
According to the information received from the concerned authorities, the bruises and injuries that the victims suffered after the accident do not appear to be life-threatening, and the investigators have found no signs that anyone involved was impaired.
After the thorough investigation, it has also been said that the speed was not the factor for the collision.
The case is still under investigation and the investigators are still trying to discover why the driver of the Honda diverted off the road into approaching traffic.
All the victims who were injured and undergoing treatment in the hospital and are not in a critical condition.
