1917 hits No. 1 at the Box Office!
Well, this World War 1 drama “1971” has been hitting the numbers and we aren’t surprised the movie is a brilliant work of art, not only this the movie earned about $37 million over the weekend which could be seen as an excellent sign, the year surely does look good for the entire cast and crew of “1917.”
The movie also won the best-picture award at the Golden Globes last week, and we inevitably see it making for the Oscars, 1971 produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners is just brilliant it is something old and gold in the new genres that have been coming up.
If you are one of the few people who still haven’t heard or seen the movie we would like you to take out time to do so, in addition to the movie’s Golden Globe wins for best drama and best director, it has received an A- CinemaScore and boasts a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Star Wars Competition went wrong!
The weekend was in favor of 1971 as the star wars: the rise of skywalker landed at the second position with a collection of $15 million, for a four-week domestic total of $478 million and $990 million worldwide and Jumanji: The Next Level Sony was third, collecting an estimated $14 million, for a five-week total of $257 million worldwide, these movies have contributed to a strong start of 2020, and we cannot wait for more exciting releases coming with time.
The year is already started with a 7% increase starting from the last year, which is undoubtedly a good sign; 1971 is not just a movie; it is an experience that our world went through, and seeing it live in theater gives us goosebumps.
