A 29-year-old Milwaukee man is arrested for shooting a man while in a car, then driving off with a little boy in the backseat of the vehicle.
Deputies appeared to Froedtert Hospital on Jan. 7 about an injured victim with a gunshot endured an injury to his back.
The victim informed deputies he drove with his lover and her 2-year-old nephew to Christian’s house in Milwaukee. Christian “entered the car and sat in the back seat behind the driver, and next to the little boy,” according to the court documents.
Christian was assumed to give the victim’s girlfriend $60, but while in the way to the transaction, the victim “learned a gunshot, and his head was forcibly pushed forward.”
The accusation says the girlfriend of the victim informed police Christian turned away with the 2-year-old boy still inside the car.
According to the reports, police were later sent to the Walmart near 70th and Main. A caller “stated that a man had deliberately left a child at the grocery store.” Deputies located the child “as well as CCTV footage describing the man and the child.
On Jan. 9, police and deputies traced and found the car near 48th and Chambers in Milwaukee with “a single bullet hole hit to the driver’s windowpane. Deputies also witnessed a liquid substance in the front seat and a bottle of bleach in the car.
Joshua Christian was indicted with attempted first-degree intended homicide, use of a deadly weapon, armed carjacking, and possession of a gun.
