A San Jose man and two of his friends were detained this week in association with the kidnapping and molestation of a 14-year-old girl.
The Girl Used Snapchat To Inform Her Freinds
The Brave girl later decided to use Snapchat to inform her friends she had been kidnaped, according to the police report.
The teenage girl did not know the exact location of where she was, but her friends practiced the app to get her location — the E-Z 8 Motel at 1550 N. First St. in San Jose and immediately ranged 911, according to the officer’s reports.
Deputies arrived at the location at about 11:10 a.m. Tuesday and saw Albert Thomas Vasquez, 55, of San Jose, as he left a second-story room. Garcia told the teenage girl was inside the room.
Vasquez was detained and held into Santa Clara County jail on criminal charges of kidnapping to commit molestation, child abuse, lewd act with a minor child, and molestation by intoxication.
According to court documents, the man was being held without bail Thursday at the Main Jail in San Jose.
An inquiry revealed Vasquez met the girl in Capitola earlier that day and gave her narcotics, Garcia said. The girl became weakened, and Vasquez called his friend Antonio Quirino Salvador, 34, and Hediberto Gonzalez Avarenga, 31, both of Fremont, for help.
Garcia said the men pushed the girl into a car, where Vasquez physically assaulted her.
The man then drove the girl to San Jose. At the motel, Vasquez physically assaulted her again, Garcia said.
Salvador and Avarenga were detained in San Jose on Wednesday and held into jail on felony charges of abduction and conspiracy. In contrast, Vasquez is being held at the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas with the bail set at $150,000, according to reports.
