The man arrested for killing his whole family that was his wife, kids, and pet in the Disney town of Celebration, Florida, was taken to court as.
Anthony Todt, 44, was not saying anything at his first appearance in the court on Thursday, responding as Circuit Judge Margaret Schreiber commanded him held without bail through a brief hearing. The hearing for this case wrapped in less than a minute, according to court documents.
The Evil man is facing four counts of first-degree murder and one count of animal abuse after officials said he admitted to killing his wife, Megan Todt, 42, with their three kids Alek, 13, Tyler, 11, and Zoe, 4 and the family pet, Breezy.
When Police officers arrived at the place, they found Todt with the dead bodies in their home Monday, as they tried to serve a warrant bound to a fraud investigation, according to the police report.
Officials assume the bodies had been there for many weeks.
Officers claim Todt got more than $130,000 from fraudulent bills he transferred to private insurance firms and government-run businesses, including Medicare.
Todt charged insurers for hundreds of hours of care that never happened — logging five fake sessions a week for a single client, according to the court documents.
Police officer confronted Todt on Nov. 20, and after first refusing to the allegations and charges, he confessed he had started “adding extra stuff” when billing, presenting other claims for random patients, according to the court reports.
He had also taken some personal loans, and when questioned if he was “living above his means,” he answered: “That’s the best method to put it.
He told officers that he needed to declare guilty and was directed to have an attorney soon but instead denied, according to the court documents.
