Two people died and at least five harmed when someone opened fire throughout a quarrel at a concert in San Antonio, Texas, and cops are seeking the shooter who escaped the scene.
Officers were informed shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday to the Ventura, a music venue and bar placed along the Museum Reach portion of the San Antonio River Walk, police told.
It was not the only firing at an entertainment venue Sunday night. Two people shot to death and at least 15 harmed in a shooting outside a bar in Kansas City, Missouri, just before midnight. Police think the shooter is one of the two who were killed.
In Texas, an argument happened inside the club, and one person pulled out a gun and began shooting, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told. One victim expired at the scene, and another six brought to a hospital, where one was declared dead shortly after arrival.
Victims And Suspects Details
The victims have not recognized. McManus told the victim who passed away at the club was a 21-year-old man. He said preliminary information shows the people shot were all patrons, rather than staff.
McManus said he’s confident that a defendant will soon recognize and apprehended. No further information was instantly available.
A since-deleted Facebook event showed Sunday night’s concert at the Ventura was “Living the DREAM,” a showcase featuring many performers.
Advertisements for the show also posted to websites advertising local events and listed performers’ social media pages. An email to the possible promoters wasn’t instantly returned.
