A Cumberland County man is accused of throwing kitchen knives at a lady, The man has now been indicted and faces criminal charges, including felony intensified assault.
The man identified as Kevin J. Byler, 42, of Newville was detained last week on charges associated with a Jan. Three attacks on a woman, according to the borough police report.
Newville police and authorities said they were called earlier this month to a local house, where a woman described that she had been resting, and Byler woke her up by shaking and shouting at her.
Soon after, Byler became furious, took up a butcher’s knives from the home’s kitchen, and threw them at the woman, police said in a news report.
After investigating into the matter, police and officer arrested Byler on Wednesday.
The man faces charges of felony intensified assault charges in addition to misconduct, charges of rashly endangering another person, simple attack and harassment according to the court documents.
The man was arraigned on those charges Wednesday and is scheduled to appear in court. Jan. 30 before District Judge Vivian Cohick.
As of Sunday morning, online court documents revealed that Byler continued to remain in Cumberland County Prison, and he is unable to post $25,000 cash bail.
