A Mukwonago man arrested after ruthlessly attacking a 41-year-old person who was a colleague of his estranged wife and condemned to jail on Friday, Jan. 17.
In court Friday, Marcus Sevilla, 49, was ordered to serve 15 years in jail and five years’ extended supervision on the first conviction and 15 years in prison. The man was given credit for 228 days served.
Sevilla admitted in November to one check of intensified battery and one count of brutal first-degree injury.
Charges were documented on April 10 after the April 3 assault in East Troy that left the 41-year-old victim with extreme head injury. Examiners said he was beaten so powerfully; specialists needed to evacuate some part of his skull.
During a dispute, the lady said she attempted to get among Sevilla and the victim, and Sevilla pushed her to the ground.
She said the victim told Sevilla not to put his hands on his irritated wife, and Sevilla pushed the victim to the ground and more than once struck him in the head with a baseball bat.
Sevilla’s wife said while she held the victim’s head in her lap, Sevilla sat in front of them and started “laughing at them.”
