A Norwalk man accused of physically assaulting a child repeatedly for almost seven years has been arrested, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department stated Tuesday.
Guillermo Cuevas, 25, was detained and charged on suspicion of 90 offense counts at the Cois Byrd Detention Center, according to the official report.
The charges include 50 counts of lewd acts on a minor, 20 counts of abuse with a child under ten years old, 20 counts of assault with a child under the age of 10 and a count of continuous physical abuse of a minor, according to the jail records.
An inquiry into Cuevas started last November when officers with the Lake Elsinore station got an accusation of lewd and obscene acts involving a man and a 12-year-old.
During the search, officials discovered the physical abuse started about seven years ago when the victim was 5-years-old, according to the police complaint.
No further details and information about the accusations were delivered.
The evil man was taken into custody last Friday in the 14000 block of Wheatstone Avenue. The man is currently being held with his bail amount set at $1 million, authorities said.
Anyone with information and further details about the case is requested to call Investigator Jeremy Klemp from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station by the official website.
