Father Accidentally Shot Himself And His Son
A 4-year-old Indiana kid was in basic condition Monday after a weapon his dad had hidden in his apparel released while the two were wrestling, police said.
The Herald-Times detailed that the two were play wrestling Sunday night on a bed inside a home close to Bloomington, Indiana when the firearm — which the 36-year-old dad had covered close to the little of his back — fell and released one shot. The kid and his dad were both shots in the head, as per a news discharge from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The kid was taken by helicopter to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, where he was recorded in basic condition Monday. The dad was taken to IU Health Methodist in Indianapolis with wounds that were not dangerous. Specialists have not recognized the kid or his dad, yet Sheriff Brad Swain said they might do so later Monday.
