Two people passed away, and five people are in severe condition after a suspect fired off many shots inside a club near the River Walk Sunday night.
It took place after 8 p.m. at Ventura in the 1011 block of Avenue B.
“There was some concert going on in there,” San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told.
All of a sudden, McManus told, there was a dispute inside when one person pulled out a gun and started shooting.
“Seven people were shot, two lifeless, five are in local hospitals,” McManus told.
One of the people reportedly passed away inside the club while another person died from wounds on the way to the hospital.
At this moment, the victims have not positively recognized. One of the victims, who killed in the club, is reported to be a 21-year-old male.
Officials told they have no defendant in custody but are still investigating.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has recognized the two victims as 21-year-old Robert Martinez and 25-year-old Alejandro Robles.
“The five other sufferers who brought to the hospital are assumed to survive their injuries. The oldest victim is a 46-year-old woman. The other four victims are males amid the ages of 16 and 19 years of age. It was not a random event, and Homicide Detectives think that at least one of the victims knew the suspicious,” a San Antonio Police Department representative said in a statement.
