The couple has dated nearly five years now; it is only natural for a couple who share the common love and bond for music to have incredible chemistry.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton arrived arm-in-arm with each other on the red carpet before the Grammy Awards 2020 commenced on (Jan. 26) Sunda. They presented a compiled duet that they wrote collectively named “Nobody But You” together during the performance. But you can’t expect a joint album to sprout out of this hot couple real soon.
We Sing at home all the time
In an interview with the Voice star pertaining if performing at the Grammy tonight made him anxious, to which Shelton answered, “We sing together at home all the time. We sing at our house, the beach, music is an integral part of our everyday life together, therefore performing here — it’s just the Grammys, so be anxious about that Ha, please! Sing along is all we do.
The duo would go on to give a spectacular show stopper performance of their new single “Nobody But You” on the stage on Grammy night; however, Gwen later revealed the song wasn’t initially intended to be a duet performance.
“But giving it a listen, we came to realize that it would, on the contrary, be perfect for a duet, especially for the likes of us — the lyrics of the song just fit our story perfectly,” she reported to E!
Blake responded, “Believe it or not … when we were at the gym, I watched her work out, and after listening to the song for the first time, I was like, I realized, ‘hey wait a second. You need to be on this song with me for the Grammy’s tonight.”
Shelton may not have bagged a Golden Gramophone for the night, but he certainly didn’t go empty-handed. His single “Nobody But You” received a massive increase in sales following the performance and was No. 2 on iTunes charts by the end of the next day.
