A man who attacked a train passenger as she was sick in a toilet has been jailed.
Timothy Davies, 45, of Ramsgate, traveling in the train in Kent in December 2018 with his wife.
The victim, who was traveling in the same coach, became sick, and surveillance showed that Davies doing lewd acts and touching her body inappropriately before taking her into the toilet and locking himself.
As the woman was bent over being sick and vomit, Davies molested her in a “shocking and anticipated” attack.
Court heard that Davies’ wife knocked on the door three times while the assault was taking place.
On many occasions, she alerted him that the train was approaching Ramsgate, where they needed to get off, and he replied, saying the victim was sick. Davies then left the train with his wife at Ramsgate.
Once home, the victim revealed to her family that she was being assaulted, who later then called police. Davies was detained by British Transport Police officers the same day.
During a police interview, Davies claimed the activity was consensual and that he even thought the victim had enjoyed it.
In her victim impact statement, the woman said the attack was a “nightmare” and is a “scar” that will never leave her.
