Authorities state a man, who was holding a kid, ambushed his sweetheart after she would not surrender her HUD check so the man could purchase narcotics.
Police say they reacted to 121 Morgan Road in Redstone Township in the wake of getting a call from a lady who asserted she was mercilessly ambushed by Matthew Joseph Brumley.
“He began hauling her around by the throat and furthermore by the knapsack she was wearing,” Trooper Robert Broadwater said.
Agents state the two got into a verbal encounter that turned physical.
Brumley requested the injured individual’s HUD check.
Agents state the unfortunate casualty previously supported the Federal Housing Assistance Check, which Brumley definitely knew.
Authorities state he had plans for the cash.
“It is accepted he needed to money the check to buy narcotics with it,” Broadwater said.
