The planetary experts have yet again discovered unexplained ‘fast radio bursts’ (FRBs) on the earth on a 16-day cycle for more than a year.
This is the first time inter-galactic signs have been reported on a regular cycle rather than irregular groups. As per the scientists, FRBs release the power of hundreds of millions of Suns but last just a few milliseconds.
They were first discovered 13 years ago, and data include radio waves formed by a black hole transforming into a white hole and blasting, cosmic strings crashing or even messages from alien species.
Avi Loeb of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, stated, “We have not recognised a possible natural source with any confidence.
“An artificial origin is worth contemplating and checking.” Prof Loeb has earlier hinted on the fact that FRBs are more likely to be created by alien space ships powered by light sheets.
Planetary experts examined the information received from the radio telescope managed by the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (CHIME), in British Columbia, Canada, between September 2018 and October 2019.
They conferred FRB signals appearing twice an hour for four days before falling silently for 12 days then starting again. The 16-day cycle repeated itself on 25 events4 during 409 days.
Their source was found within a medium-sized spiral galaxy about 500 million light-years away.
Specialists have speculated the origin could be secured in a 16-day orbit nearby a sun. Some planetary experts believe that the cause could be a neutron star, but other experts consider that it could not perform the same regular 16-day cycle.
