Is There Going To Be A Third Season For The Popular Show Big Little Lies? Here’s What We Know.
We all know that Andrea Arnold had taken over from Jean-Marc Vallée as the director. However, it is reported that owing to the busy schedule, the director had lost the creative control of the drama series. Some people are also saying that the show has been taken away from Arnold.
The role of the director has allegedly given back to Marc Vallee, who remained on the board all this while as the executive producer. Although HBO has straight away denied these rumors stating that there would have been no second season without Andrea Arnold.
The Show Is Facing Some Conflict With The Director Over Creativity Issues?
They further stated that the whole team is extremely proud of Andrea’s work. As far as Vallee is concerned, the executive producers work collaboratively on the series. The final product speaks for itself according to the network. David E. Kelley has also said that the second season will give a sense of closure to fans and that will be it.
HBO’s president of programming Casey Bloys has also opened up about the issue stating that the mere idea of taking creative control from a director is false. Despite the whole network’s praise of Arnold, fans also felt that the second season was not as good as the first one. Bloys also stated that due to the actresses’ busy schedules, they are not sure about a third season yet.
