It casts Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow with Florence Pugh, William Hurt, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz in supporting roles.
Marvel and Johansson showed interest in a solo movie many times over the following years before Schaeffer and Shortland were appointed in 2018.

Development of a Black Widow movie commenced in April 2004 by Lionsgate, with David Hayter appointed to write and direct. The project did not continue, and the movie rights to the character returned to Marvel Studios by June 2006.
The shooting happened from May to October 2019, in Norway, Budapest, Morocco, Pinewood Studios in England, and Atlanta and Macon, Georgia.
Black Widow film confirmed at Comic-Con to be the first movie of Phase 4, and it will be released on May 1, 2020.
Cast Of Black Widow
Scarlett Johansson will come back as Black Widow. Alongside the supporting cast is David Harbour as Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as the second Black Widow, O-T Fagbenle as Mason, and Rachel Weisz as Melina.
There were also reports of the cameo of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in the Black Widow. But right now, there is no official statement concerning this from Marvel, but it would fit, as Black Widow is first observed in Iron Man 2.
