Woman Arrested After Allegedly Kidnapping Her 12-Year-Old Granddaughter From Hospital
A 66-year-old Louisiana lady has been captured after supposedly seizing her 12-year-old granddaughter from the emergency clinic. Evelyn Miller seemingly burst into Adreana’s emergency clinic room at Ochsner Medical Center in the Old Jefferson region around 5 p.m. Friday, as indicated by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Department.
At the point when staff attempted to prevent her from leaving with her granddaughter, Miller purportedly waved a weapon at them, police said. As she and Adreana went, Miller supposedly pushed a medical caretaker to the ground and hit a security watch with her vehicle. Adreana was discovered safe around two hours after the fact at an inn in Bogalusa, around 70 miles north of New Orleans.
Mill operator was captured. It’s indistinct why Adreana had been hospitalized or the inspiration for the hijacking. A representative for the restorative place revealed to NOLA.com that medical clinic staff had followed conventions, and nobody had been harmed during Miller’s getaway.
“Ochsner might want to console all representatives, patients, and guests of their wellbeing while at any of our offices,” the announcement said. “We pay attention to security very and are careful about keeping our grounds, representatives, patients, and guests safe consistently.” Miller has been accused of basic hijacking, five checks of disturbed ambush with a gun, two tallies of straightforward battery, and infringement of a gun-free zone.
