Four Massachusetts Family Member Killed In A Horrifying Car Crash
Four individuals from a Massachusetts family — including a 5-year-old young lady, her 11-year-old sibling, and their mom — were slaughtered when their van was back finished by a pickup truck close Walt Disney World in Florida, as indicated by reports.
The group of eight from Whitman was voyaging only south of Disney World close to Celebration when the rental van was hammered by the truck at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, sending it onto its side and into two different vehicles, NBC Boston detailed.
Scarlett Smith, 5, her mother, Julie Smith, 41, and the young lady’s grandma Josephine Fay, 76, were slaughtered at the scene, police said. Jaxon Smith, 11, surrendered to his wounds at an emergency clinic Wednesday.
The 5-year-old’s twin sister, Skylar, 10-year-old sister Shalie, their father, Shane, 43, and their granddad William Fay, 76, endured non-dangerous wounds.
“We accept everyone was belted, yet the dad who was driving,” Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kim Montes said. “I think everyone is simply in stun whenever kids are included,” she said. “The troopers that called me and educated me concerning it were exceptionally disturbed in light of the fact that children were included.”
Some Massachusetts news sources revealed that the family was out traveling to Disney World. However, that couldn’t be affirmed. Montes didn’t promptly react to a message from The Post.
Charges were pending against the pickup truck’s driver, Lucas Dos Reis Laurindo, 26, of Kissimmee, police stated, including that he didn’t appear to be hindered and deliberately gave a blood test, clickorlando.com announced.
